Market financing (M) vs banking (B) of non financial companies (1990 – 2013).

As can be seen in the above chart, market-based financing in Spain has been historically low in comparison

to other countries, although this trend changed from 2011.

The intensification of this transformation –the position of market-based funding as a complement of bank

funding– will offer BME attractive business opportunities.
